Please ensure that your child is dressed for this weather. It is a blue week, but when traveling to the bus or the car or walking home it only takes minutes for exposed skin to get frost bite!
MATH:
Please continue to work on addition strategies at home! Some of us have forgotten them over the holiday break!
Doubles, Doubles +1, using our fingers, a number line or counters, tally marks, power of zero, drawing pictures, counting on!! We should be able to do basic math facts to 10 in seconds!
New Games:
Gets some dominoes and some dice! Have your child teach you some games we have learned in the classroom the last couple weeks!
LITERACY:
It's all about Snowmen this week! We've been learning about what snowmen CAN do, what snowmen ARE, and what snowmen HAVE. We are working on directional writing, trying to make sure we include details so that the reader can make a snowman following our steps!
