Can you volunteer? Have you filled out a volunteer clearance?  It would be great if you could as you might have a free day to come help us out! It's super easy! You can apply online or in person at your closest police station!

We desperately need volunteers in November.  The 4, 7 are in school programs that require at least 5 volunteers per class!  Our trip to Telus on the 14 requires 5 adults!  If we don't have enough volunteers we may have to cancel our trip!

We will be looking at pumpkins this week and next.  If you would like to donate a pumpkin for us to "inspect" please send one to school!  They can be the mini mini ones to a larger size one!  We will look at them scientifically, artfully and spook them up for Halloween! Thanks in advance!

As the Autumn weather starts to get chilly, please make sure your child is dressed in layers!  It's easier to take off layers than to try to put on what we don't have!

Indoor Shoes:  Please ensure that you send shoes your child know how to do up!  As cute and as fashionable fun tie up shoes are, many of us don't know how to tie them!  This poses a safety issue. 

The annual Hawkwood School Halloween Dance is coming up!  Come on out for a Hauntingly good time! Friday, October 25 starting at 630pm!

This week we continue looking at COLOUR!  Ask your child about it!  Primary and Secondary colours, complimentary colours, ROGBIV, pigments, food extraction! We had a special guest come in to share about COLOUR! Helena from Grade 4 and her mom Danuta shared their expertise! THANK YOU!
