OH MY! it is still so so cold! But there looks like there will be a break in the cold snap next week!
Stay warm this weekend.
How you doin’? Check your child’s emotions! Act out an emotion and see if you or your child can guess the emotion! Here’s a quick video… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxfJicfyCdg
Do you have some dice at home? some playing cards? Dominoes? Ask your child to teach you some math games we have been learning to help us with addition, subtraction and place value!
In Literacy, we are finishing up our topics on Winter and Snowmen. Ask your child about the steps to building a snowmen making sure there are details and all about winter.
Does your family name have a history? is there significance to your heritage? Start looking around your house, photo albums, calling grandma and grandpa to find out about your family's past! Our next Social Studies Unit is "Moving Forward with the Past." Your artifact can be a picture, an actual item, a piece of clothing, a book...I'll send a letter home in the next couple weeks with more details!
In Art with our buddies today we used our creative imaginations to extend a picture! Using old Christmas card fronts we imagined what the scene would look like if it was extended! What a great lesson on perspective!
Enjoy your weekend! Here's to a hope for warmer weather starting Monday!
