In Math, we continued today on addition strategies.  Ask your child about ten frame and counting on and using a number line to add! 

What is YOUR responsibility at home? at school? at work? We finished up our Social Studies topic on Rights and Responsibilities.  We are very lucky to have rights, but there are also many responsibilities attached to those rights we need to adhere to for the sake of everyone's well being!

Please keep working on helping your child recognize sight words!  It is a very important strategy as the children continue to grow in their reading.  Please also keep working on phonics and printing! 
Your child should have more than 3 books in their home reading bags this week.  We will increase the amount of books to 5 by the end of December!  Please try to have your child read every night and don't forget to read with your child too!  Listening to reading helps build vocabulary and gives children a chance to use their eyes for the pictures and their imaginations.

Thanks for sending your child with appropriate clothing! We did go outside today as it was warmer than -19!  It's still cold, but with proper clothing is delightful outside!
